GEORGE EDDY
George Eddy Sending Punks in the Gym 5.14a- GRIPPED The Climbing Magazine
Born in Western Australia and raised among the sandstone of the Blue Mountains, George discovered rock climbing at the age of 20 when a friend introduced him to the local gym in Katoomba. From that first introduction climbing became an all-consuming passion.
With his sights now set on ambitious international projects, George is eager to test himself on some of the world’s most iconic routes.
For him, climbing is more than a personal challenge—it’s his purpose. He’s deeply committed to pushing the sport forward in Australia, inspiring others to pursue their goals, and championing the value of time spent outdoors.
Climbing is a family affair, too. George introduced his younger brother Keith to the sport, sparking a healthy rivalry that continues to push them both to new heights. When he's not tackling hard routes, George can be found training, traveling to new climbing destinations, or documenting his journey working with local photographers and videographers to capture the spirit of his adventures through photo and film.

More than just a climber, George is a motivator, an advocate for living boldly, and a passionate ambassador for chasing what you love.
